Councils and other service providers tend to make assumptions about how their residents want to engage and how to interpret the feedback or lack of feedback they get from them. They often compartmentalise their proactive engagement and segment their work by only utilising traditional demographics. TCC Research – commissioned by the London Civic Forum – demonstrates why this nowadays is not enough.
The report was also recently discussed at a Conference – see blog postings here and here.
For those who missed that debate, TCC’s Nick Pecorelli, one of the principal authors, will be discussing it online “in the hot seat” for the rest of this week at the Local Government Improvement and Development Communities of Practice online forum on best practice.
You can register to join the debate at that Communities of Practice website here and then go to the online debate here.
