TheĀ challenge
Derbyshire County Council wanted to understand their key audiences better, and know what was working well and less well with their communications. They commissioned us to provide insight, including a review of all their outgoing comms materials, and a plan going forward.
How we approached it
We undertook a review of communication throughout the organisation, including qualitative and quantitative research with Derbyshire residents, staff, members and partner organisations. We worked with the communications team, Cabinet and the front line workforce to design a tailored approach to meet the particular challenges they faced. This included workshops and training sessions to co-produce solutions and share learning.
What happened
Our work led to a transformation of the communications function. This improved performance by unlocking the existing potential of professionals and enabled the County to better align resources behind their objectives.
